Before I had Cara and it was 70 degrees in February, I would usually go about my business and stay inside. But the last week or two has been so enjoyable. I have gone to a park almost everyday, gone on long walks with my husband, and even drove with the windows open! There is something about having Cara that makes me want to go outside and enjoy the weather.

It couldn't just be this cute little face I have looking up at me that makes me want to enjoy this weather. Or...

This amazing little boy who walked so far (even uphill) yesterday that he amazed us all!

11 Month Out-takes

With it only a little over a week from Cara's first birthday, I am finally getting the out-takes from out photo shoot posted. Do you know how hard it is to get a good picture of an 11 month old? She was so curious and just did not want to sit still. I keep thinking that my camera has started taking longer to snap a picture, but maybe Cara is sitting still for a shorter amount of time.

The long awaited update

Here it is, Feb. 14th, and I have not posted for the whole month! I don't have a whole lot of excuses except my house was filled with these:                             And my laundry closet looks like this:

Oh, and my living room...

You might ask why my house looks like this. Well, Last Thursday (like a week and a half ago) I discovered that our washer hookup was leaking. And, as I did more investigating, I found that it had ruined most of the flooring in our house. So, we have been living in a concrete floored house with 10 loud, big fans to navigate around. Oh, yea, and a washer and dryer in our living room. The good news is the floor is almost dry. The bad news is the flooring we ordered might not be in for 2 more weeks!



Since the last post, Cara turned 11 months old (and in 2 weeks will be a year). Do you have any idea how difficult it is to get a picture of an 11 month old with a sign in front of her. Stay tuned for an entire post of the outtakes

This weekend we met some friends from work at Discovery Place kids. Ethan, Terre, and my dad joined us. We really had a great time, and anyone with kids in the Charlotte area should check it out! Here are a few pictures from there:
